Get on the Ramp then Captain...Seniority is from Date-Of-Hire, no matter what the job title! (disclaimer: from my understanding)
I ramped for XJet for awhile, with the same idea as you, then decided I didn't want to fly for them, but it was the same deal there, and definately a great experience!!

Pilot group was awesome, but it would have required a 6-month commitment at the station I was at, which I was NOT willing to do :-)

Being a ramper is a great idea if you want to work at SKW. I haven't meet a person that went that route who didn't get a pilot job. However, some did screw up the first time and had to reinterview. Has the tower at PVU helped, or are people still trying to kill each other down there?

You're right about the radar, though. I can't believe that we're not going to get the radar site at the point of the mountain, especially since it would be helping SLC out so much. Too bad. Thanks, Ms. Blakey...
