I'm sure that will free up some seats as you say, but I just always asumed that Eagle was a slower upgrade because of the amount of career captains. I've heard they have quite a few. What do you think?
Every regional has its share of lifers...and the currently growing airlines aren't exempt from that. That is what large jet equipment (146 at AWAC, Avro at Mesaba, CR7 at ASA/Comair/Eagle) and a requisite higher pay rate will create.
I've no doubt that with every additional 175 RAH takes delivery of Bedford is gaining at least 3 lifers..if I were 31, had 7-8 years longevity putting me into the top 10% of the pilot group and and was flying the largest and highest paying airframe available, I know I'd be tempted to stay put too!

Just as others have said, growth right now is best at these regionals. You make a good point that things change, but all we can say NOW is that the 3 airlines I listed are doing the best in growth. If I could predict the future, I would not be a pilot.
As for the fellow who said he would put X-jet at the top, you obviously do not read very well. I said in NO paticular order.

With regards to Pinnacle hiring only a few from your interview group, what kind of experience did they have?
