Voicing your opinion?

I am somewhat perplexed on why so many people feel that Mesa is a bad place to work.

Can anyone justify why they are always badmouthed?

ExperimentalAB 06-07-2007 07:38 PM

Let the flaming begin LoL...

You don't need to ask for justification about Mesa's lack of QOL twice :-) It would be a compliment to say that they are the Wal-Mart of the Aviation Industry. Remember, that would be a compliment.

I have to admit, Mesa was the first place I had my App in while a lowly Flight Instructor...Ended up getting onboard with another Regional (slightly better work situation) and quickly realized why Pilots spoke such ways about Mesa. And so, you could have listened to all the rhymes and reasons for NOT going to Mesa, but in the end, maybe you can't quite understand what you were hearing until you've been immersed in the industry for some time - enough to realize they were right.

As a Flight Instructor, I was incapable of "hearing" what I was privy to - SJS is a b*tch. Now I know better!! Not getting a call from Mesa is one of the top-10 best things that ever happened to me.

I think I smell something burning...

If you are serious and not just flame baiting (which i believe this to be. Why else would you not put "Mesa" anywhere in the thread topic), try the search function. WAAAAAAY more than enough opinions have been expressed about Messa, JO and his ilk.

One may say that we accepted this "Spartan" lifestyle, all knowing that it would be somewhat of a sacrifice, so that we could have an opportunity to fly 'the big iron'.
So why does Mesa deserve such a ranking?

Basically, it comes down to how you treat another human-being. Mutual Respect and all that Jazz. Treat others as you would like to be treated. I think JO and his "team" there at MAG needed more TLC from their mothers.

If you want to be treated like crud by somebody who doesn't care about you, go ahead friend. I have more SELF RESPECT.

Seriously, with all due respect as mature fellow pilots, help me here, I just am curious on why there is so much negative sentiment about a money making, well established company that appears to have good financials. I consider myself a prudent and mature person, and all I am asking for is an adult and mature answer, Please.

ExperimentalAB 06-07-2007 07:55 PM

LoL. Money-making? Must be another Airline you are speaking of!!

Mesa can't seem to grasp the Industry here state-side, so they go off and fly in Hawaii...Screw that up big-time and decide to try their luck in Asia. Last I heard that was going as well as any of their other operations.

muushin 06-07-2007 07:57 PM

Well thier stock seems to be doing well. Chad said that the mutual funds use it as a sound investment?

I'm thinking about starting my own airline and purchasing a 737 or two. I'll have a lot of financial backing and the business plan will make money. Starting pay will be $20.00/hr, think you'd be a great candidate, PM me for details.
