Which Regional out of DEN???

I am currently a flight instructor in Michigan but am planning on moving to Denver with my cousin. I am just curious about some regional pilots opinions. I currently have about 450tt with about 30multi. I should be done with my bachelors degree in January. I am just wondering what regional would best suit me living in DEN. I dont believe I will have 1000/100 for Skywest or Horizon. Would it be wise to go to ASA,XJET,Eagle,Pinnacle. I will be taking a JET course in January and these airlines lower their minimums for this. Any inputs would help.

The QOL benefits of living at your domicile are immense. It would probably be worth your time to get the the 1000/100 for SKW...they have a large, stable base at DEN. You could also work at another regional for 6 months and then do SKW, but 121 training is a real nuisance...I've worked at multiple flight schools and multiple airlines, and I'd rather do 6 months as a CFI than do an extra 121 training event.

Skywest, Republic, Great Lakes and Lynx all have domiciles in DEN, if I recall correctly. From DEN I'd bet you could commute somewhat easily to PHX for Mesa, LAX/DFW/ORD for Eagle, or IAH for XJT.

What kind of "JET" course will you be taking? Might be prudent for you to save your $$$...

It is a 15 day course that covers systems and operations of the CRJ-200. You receive 40 hrs in the CRJ level 5 Sim. It is $1700 for us as instructors. I have not found any info on lynx can anyone give me some info. I think Mesa may have a base in DEN

Lynx has jobs posted on careerbuilder.com
Mins are really high-probably for insurance reasons since it is a start up.
Good luck with that. There are plenty of low time pilots that work as rampers and other places at Frontier mainline that cant even get an interveiw with Lynx.

I would say if you plan to stay in Denver, get 1000 hours, and go to Skywest. Living at your base is a huge plus. I have no experience with a JET course, so I don't know what to tell you about that one... I would agree with BoilerUP...might be a better idea to save your money. You will receive all the training you need with the airline you join.

Republic's DEN base is fairly stagnant for the time being, but that may change when they take more deliveries in the next few months.

Please do yourself a favor, and do NOT go to Mesa...

get your hours then get on with Republic in the 170. Higher captain pay, in base for the longer run, and appears the company wants more of them.

You could get hired at Lakes right now with those times. They're going to be really hurting for pilots soon.
