Pinnacle/ Delta

Does anyone have any new info concerning the crj 900 routes/bases for Pinnacle? I've heard the ATL and LAX rumors from most. Guess they could pick up some of Comair's Orlando routes?

I just interviewed a couple of days ago and they still have no idea where the planes are going. I wouldn't expect anything to come out about it until September or October.

one thing i do know is i looked at the latest vacancy and it calls for 40 captains, and that doesn't include the vacancy for the delta flying....

on a side note uncle phils message said that delta wanted our flights to be like mainline flights which include hotmeals in first class, and possibley some carribean flying.

Comair does not do much out of MCO any more. It is mostly Freedom.

If I read correctly also, there's 6 slots they can't even fill plus 3 street CA hired (from the final award)

I just love how they can't get the senior FO's to make the jump... losing weekends off is difficult but seeing mgmt still squirm is kinda entertaining... I am waiting for scheduling to junior man some FO's into upgrade class- That would be hilarious..

skid 06-15-2007 09:46 AM

Got a call for an interview on Tuesday for a july 2nd or 9th class. I meet all upgrade mins which means I guess could almost walk into class as a street captain. However I am thinking I am not gonna go to the interview now. After speaking with several employees there, reserve sux. The rules are horrible and when you are that junior you will never get off of reserve. Also I dont live in any of the bases and have no plans to move. I live on the west coast.

I have considered just doing the interview but dont want to waste the $200 for new medical/hotel/food and not to mention all the time required for me to even do it.

A west coast 900 base would be great but very unlikely a newbie would get something like that.

Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?

Pinnacle is now hiring street CA's? And no sim interview... wow. I hope they have a great training program. What kind of mins are they wanting for these street CA's?

duvie 06-15-2007 11:21 AM

I imagine you've probably already looked into SKW, but food for thought: If you have the TT for Pinacle CA then you definitely meet the SKW mins. They fly 900s all over the west coast and have a relatively low upgrade time with no reserve in SLC, ORD, DEN, or FAT.

I thought my post might come off that way :p I hope I'm past that by now. There's nothing wrong with Pincale, I just meant to offer an option. I didn't mean to be that guy drunk off koolaid and SJS.

I went to Skywest for a day and left class cause they did not follow up on the interview promise of time off for my wedding. So I left, that was in Nov. I was told I could still go back but in the mean time went to the MD at Allegiant. But as most need the PIC turbine. I think Pinnacle, although I have heard bad stories, is a way to do it. But after some thought I dont want to kill my personal life for it. So I guess I will stay here for now till a job shows it head that can at least some point in my career there show me a line vs a life time of reserve.

As for Pinnacle there is no definite street captain there. YOu bid for it like everyone else, but recently there have been captain slots left vacant cause no one can/wants to fill them. Therefore a newbie can possibly get one.

here is a nasty rumour for you that trickled down from somewhere in memphis. We will have multiple delta bases when it is all said and done, including LAX CVG and ATL, and a lot more planes than just 16. It looks like LAX will be first.

yeah i heard that too today. was talking with some "guys" down in ops and they said that delta has about 30 more 900's they are going to give us to fly at multiple bases. that would make sense. i don't see delta signing a 10 year agreement with us to only fly 16 planes. the guys i talked too still say it will be an atlanta base to begin with. and yes uncle phil said in his weekly message that they will announce the base mid june, and that some of our guys are heading up to get the 900 training this week.
