IOE timelines
So with all the check airmen leaving to majors what is your airlines timeline from start date to the line ? If you don't mind please use the following format so it's easier for everyone.
AIRLINE : REGIONAL XXXXXX TRAINING TO LINE = 5 MONTHS |

Mesa is 6+ months to get into simulators, 1-2 months of sims, 1-2 months waiting/completing IOE

Makes sense. Skywest has monopolized most of the 170 sim time everywhere they could.
C5 is making progress with the backlog. DECs were being prioritized which was screwing FOs. Now both CA and FOs have dried up so someone hired today could see the line in 3 months. |
On a somewhat relevant note…
I’ll be at a good spot in life to start training for a regional this upcoming October. At what point would you all recommend putting out applications to secure an October class date? |

Good to know, thank you!

AIRLINE : Republic
TRAINING TO LINE = 4 months Indoc to LOE approximately 11 weeks Approximately 1 month wait to LOE They are starting to stretch it a bit by inserting another week or two before systems training, but so far they have a very streamlined footprint with no significant backups. Most people are getting a start date within 1 month after their interview. |
Gojet
Airline: GoJet. 8+ months since first day and waiting for IOE. Assigned recurrent training 5+ months after check ride. Pilots in classes before me are still waiting. AVOID.

Yes, for new hires expect 3 months minimum wait and a large chance of needing requalification. Company likes to say times are coming down to every new hire class but with more LCA leaving than being trained, this is impossible. Upside is there is no delay for sims.

Interesting. Heard of some guys only waiting 3 weeks to a month that recently wrapped up (FOs, not DECs) |

I went to Endeavor and can recommend for anyone. Day-and-night difference. |

I see things haven't gotten better since 2016. You could probably get a job at another airline and finish their training before GJ sets up your training.

interesting. guy in my class left Endeavor when he got to sims because they were so overbooked they were only scheduling him 1 sim per week spread out over time. He said screw it and came to us

Only to likely sit and wait for sims with his new regional. Or a delay somewhere in the training pipeline. Not smart IMO

Dynamic scheduling at 9E is terrible.
Try Mesa. DOH to IOE rapidly approaching 1 year. Sim footprint approaching 6 weeks once you finally get the call. Place is an absolute joke |
