A word of caution. There are several Regionals with NYC domiciles who would probably hire you today if you called. You may not enjoy working at them. Spend a little time and money getting current, hitting the 100ME mark, and make sure your scan is tight and you can probably get on anywhere.

ExpressJet (aka Continental Express) in EWR probably is the best place to work right now. But I hear they're sending all thier new hires to California. You could probably hold EWR in short order though.
American Eagle has a LGA domicile. I really enjoy working at Eagle. I have very few complaints about it here.
Comair has a JFK base. They're out of B'ruptcy, and didn't get raked over the coals too badly.

Other than that... you may want to avoid Colgan, Commuteair, Piedmont, and Freedom Air (part of Mesa). They all have issues that you probably would rather not deal with.

Good luck!

Chautauqua has domiciles in both LGA and BUF.

hahaha well its tiny inside so heats up real quick, so winter thats not the problem, the back end sliding out on cold roads is another, but doesnt have any low-end torque so its manageable. Its a fun car surprises a lot fo people with how quick it is, especially the 17 yr olds in their dads M3's that cant drive em........:p only complaint I have is at 75mph on the highway in 6th gear its at like 4,000rpm and at 85mph its at 5k rpm so its loud kind of a rough ride and gas isnt the cheapest, but for non-highway driving its great

Well there's something to write home about.

god I've always wanted one, but the other thing I'm worried about is the damn top getting tore open by some punk to get my Ipod or phone. It's just not that pratical, but I"m only 22 and should just do it. we'll see, anyone got any good leads on where I can pick one up?

Guys...thanks again for all your responses...I'm getting a lot of inspiration out of them... I would definitely love to get on with a "quality" regional and think it would be well worth it to get current in a multi and bump up the ME time...any particular recommendations for multi time building in the NY/NJ area??

BTW, mine is still stock. When I finally get my life a bit more in order, some suspension mods are on the program. Gonna look for the Eibach Pro Kit and some real summer tires to replace the pansy 'all-season' tires on there now.

The 2.0 liter turbo is a sweetie of a motor. But the stock rubber is lacking.

BTW, I lived in Europe for almost 15 years and drove many sweet, sweet German cars. I am biased! :D

I doubt you would get 4 or OUR flight attendants in anything less than a full sized van or a suburban! :D

Plus, arguing about who's foreign made POS is faster is easiy to decide. Whoever sells it first, and buys some american muscle WILL be faster.....;)

I vote for the s2000.
