AE interview HELP
 

I have AE interview in a week and been studying hard. After reviewing so many interview gauges most of them say very positive things and how easy and simple it is yet majority of the candidates were not hired. Why so many failures and what can I do, study or do to prepare for better outcome? Are there any AE study guides?

Theres a guy on here named EglCL65. He used to do interviews for Eagle. Send him a message he can give you advice. Look at all the Posts about Eagle in the last month you will find him on here somewhere.

Don't rely on gouge.

It's great to feel comfortable in the interview and a heads-up can help in that regard but things will go down-hill in a hurry if you come across as trying to game the interview.

Study, verbalize (i.e. talk to yourself and anyone else who will listen) your "I remember a time" stories, practice the mental math, and just be yourself.

Very good advice. Personality definitely goes a long way. And definitely definitely definitely have some stories lined up for the inevitable "tell me about a time" questions. Nothing destroys your confidence like hemming and hawing or telling an interviewer "gosh, I can't really think of anything".

As far as gouge goes, BE CAREFUL! Double check the answers given with the gouge. I have seen more than a few that were wrong. And make sure you know WHY specific answers are correct. You don't want to start sweating if an interviewer decides to dig a little. By the same token, if you don't know an answer don't try to BS your way out of it. Be honest and say that you don't know. Above all, try to relax, try to be outgoing without being obnoxious (you don't need to go around the room of 30 some-odd interviewees and shake everyones hand or get everyone's email). The guys that seemed to have the most trouble during my interview experiences were the guys who were cramming, had their nose buried in gouge and were wetting themselves over every little detail. The guys that did the best were the ones who chatted with the people around them, swapped war stories and maybe did some light review during the down times. Best of luck to you.

just be yourself and relax. they need bodies. try not to answer questions how you think they want them answered, but rather how you would simply answer the question.

study jepps and hr. airport diagram and sid/star, ILS. It is easy, just if you have anything to hide tell them upfront. I started training at another airline but a family emergency made it so I had to leave (great decision). I was upfront with them and they said they don't look good upon that but thanks for telling us. There was a guy that landed gear up and he was sent home earily. Mostly HR sent people home. Ok when you walk in you will do two parts Tech and HR. On the Tech i look for to see if your thinking or not. You can give me the wrong answer and I will still pass you. But only to the point!!!! You cant give me some Off the wall answer. I had someone tell me how long the Runway is just by looking at the tuchdown zone markings. So i was oh do tell me how. lets just say that NH did not make it past me. Then the Hr is like Why Eagle. What do you look for in a company. Whats your weekness. Ect. Tech is just beable to read Jeeps and 121 landing and app regs.

I would PM you, but I don't have enough posts yet. I've had my application in with Eagle for some time, but no luck as of yet. Regardless, I'm willing to wait because I want to be part of American and receive the great training that Eagle has to offer. Just like FL410, I had to leave training at another airline because my Mom was diagnosed with breast cancer and I couldn't commit to a return date due to her health. I know that's a strike against me, but I'm glad to know that it's not an automatic disqualifier. What are some automatic disqualifiers at Eagle? Thanks in advance.
