?'s About COLGAN

If you start off in the Saab 340 can you upgrade to captain in the Saab or do you have to go in as a beech captain first?

Do you think any of the new Q400s they are getting will go to Texas?

Thanks all!

No, you can go from the SAAB FO to a SAAB CA, and lets just wait until they Q's are up in running before you worry about seeing them in IAH...............

Very true- we're going to have a VERY difficult time staffing the Q400. If our Beech and Saab guys go to the Q- with everyone hiring, we're going to have a hard time staffing the Saab.

I would say we would have to really impress CAL in EWR before they remove our Saabs and ask us to send Q's down there. I would NOT be surprised if other carriers approached us about Q's for them (US Airways). Pay has got to go up though, dispicable.

And I agree, but...and I hate to say it, but Airways is looking for the cheapest.

Your right, When Beancounters run an airline, price is the only thing that matters, just ask Larry................

Hasn't stopped US Airways from using Colgan before. If I recall, the Saab and the Dash 8-100 are about the same size. US Airways hasn't seemed particularly interested in growing Piedmont before, why would they now?

You know there are some rumors going around HEF that Airways wants to contract PDT and give us the PHL flying. But in all reality that is 2 or more years away if it's even remotely true. We can't staff what we have now!

Rumors at airlines are about as good as dental floss at a Willie Nelson concert.
