If they had the balls to say no to Southwest and Ryanair and build a 797, they wouldn't be in this mess at all. All of this stems from holding onto the 737 design for far too long.

It’s old, loud, and outdated, however depending on who you work for, it also provides a good schedule and pays well. The Max is very efficient and makes money. People should be concerned with days off and compensation, not what they fly. It’s just a job.

Mostly. But the cockpit ergonomics matter. Bus, with good seats, tray tables, and better pilot interface is worth something. For me it might $10k/year, but not $100k.
