Actually... the article says that some regional flying is being replaced by larger aircraft. That doesn't mean FFD regionals are doing the flying.

Says the company that f'd over Embraer. Maybe build a 737 with an avionics package that is not a bag of "a" holes. A friend flew Citations before going to United and getting the guppy out of LAX. He jumpseated on my 175 and couldn't stop talking about how the brand new Max he just flew is so far behind the Brazilian bus. When you stop being an engineering firm and become a marketing firm, that's why Boeing is where it is.

Regional jets need to go away for the most part and only be used in a regional manner. The current situation is good for pilots. Look at UA's projections over the next few years of the percentage of regional flights. In May of 2023 mainline comprised 63% of departures, and by 2026 that number will be at least 73%. Keep that number growing.
