If you do not have a passport yet, you should order it now...
Most regionals require that you have a passport before you start flying the line. Many of them say you should have a passport before interviewing... but a lot of companys have been flexible up to this point as long as you have proof that you have mailed in the application and you expect on having it by the time your training is finished...
Well with the new passport problems (longer delays in processing) there have been a few new hires who have ordered passports before training, and 6-7 weeks later still have no passport. And with the more and more people ordering passports recently, the waiting period is growing longer and longer.
I have heard rumors that some regionals may get more strict about having passports before training...
If you plan on interviewing in the next couple of months, do yourself a favor and order your passport EARLY!!!
