Hired at AWAC!!
Hired July 21st, start August 6th. Can't wait to get the next level of my career started.

I saw a few guys in dark suits with red ties standing outside the security door in DCA on Saturday, when I came back to encourage (torment:D) them they all had disappeared.
Congrats and good luck in training...we're all counting on you. |
I always discourage educated people who are vying for 17,000 a year jobs where you have no home life nor stable finanical footing. I was flying BE-1900s for that pay in "1987".

I see pros and cons to every industry. Outsourcing, layoffs, cost-cutting, and bottom feeding are certainly not exclusive of the airline industry. Yes, it's more cyclical and tumultuous than most fields, but regret is an intangible cost on one's personal goals. This is something I've always wanted to do and now I can say I've done it. I encourage anyone who has realistic expectations of this career to at least experience it. Lastly, experience as a pilot will never hurt you when interviewing for positions outside of aviation. Congratulations, whoareyou, welcome. |
