Republic Interview

I tried getting on aviation interviews for a gouge for a Republic interview but it wouldn't let me on. Anyone have any recent gouges for Republic?

Yeah, here it is: Have a heartbeat, unless you went to Delta Academy, then you can get the zombie waiver.

If BB sees this you wearing this shirt.. you're in

p.s. he's probably wearing the same shirt; don't be alarmed

I keep hearing these jokes is your CEO some kinda Jesus Freak?????????????

KiloAlpha 07-26-2007 07:38 AM

I dunno if he is a "freak", but he is religious and doesn't feel the need to hide it. At the end of the majority of his letters, he closes with "God Bless"... don't see that too much in corporate America. Oddly, he never seems to ask himself WWJD when it comes to following the contract . Overall, I do like that he is religious and he has proven that he is good at what he does.. much like JR at XJT.

Ah, but nothing beats when the Indy Star wrote an article about BB and RAH and asked "What Would Jesus Pay"? Now THAT was funny.

everett_cessna_pilot 07-27-2007 11:27 AM

haha, I was too tired of nagging.. I knew someone would call him on it. Who knows, maybe he lives in a Republic base.

You need to get a new user name for aviation interview...i just put my interview on there.

Im not a big fan of all this forum stuff because any person with a pulse, keyboard, and a opinion (no matter how navie or other) will share it with you. Having said that, I know have to give my own 2 cents (hipocrit i know).

People want and are excited to fly the 170 and thats why they ask about the 170.........its ok for ya'all to admit its a cool plane. we all (well most of us) love flying and think jets are cool. The CRJ and ERJ have their neat points too but I for one was much more excited to go to 170 than 135/140/145. i have been in the 120 and it wouldnt be much of a change going to ERJ.

enjoy the flying folks

Or at least put the request into the FADEC :D

Flyboy8784 07-28-2007 07:18 AM

Not to sounds naive....but maybe i am...what regionals do not allow FO's to start engines??? AWAC says either crew member can do it, and i know ASA is the same way.

flyguyniner11 07-28-2007 07:26 AM

at colgan only the capt is supposed to do the start

Here at good ol' CHQ, FOs aren't allowed to start the engines. It's due to the starter placement on one of the planes we used to fly a few models back.
"We've always done it this way!"

Any info on Shuttle America? i.e. How long is the reserve in ATL, CMH or ORD. Thanks in advance.

TXTECHKA 07-30-2007 04:28 PM

Unbelievable!
Why is it that you guys without FADEC are allowed to start engines, but we're not even allowed to turn the knob on the 145?
I'm going back to TSA.

true dat! the other day we were pushing out and the captain was like " go ahead and spin two!" i was like "sweet" and then after the engine started I was like 2 4 6 and a half, good lubricationS!!!! good vibrations!!! Just Like riding a bike! I hadnt started an engine in 3 months, can't believe I remembered how to do it! I almost cramped that muscle in my forearm from not moving that bell guard in a while!

btwissel 07-30-2007 06:11 PM

over at Shuttle us FOs do it. the captains are too busy filling out their app for the majors
