9E Conf call Wed...
#2
yea.. here is the lowdown...
Contract- no significant forward moves. Language was straightened out on the scheduling and such but the main issue- Compensation- is still being "negotiated". -900 rates have also yet to be established. They were still negotiating yesterday and today so i would expect the updates from those days to be discussed in the 8-1 payday hotline.
Pref bid- they are grieving the whole thing for vac slide issues as well as many other scheduling "issues" associated with pref bid, in addition to the lack of successful parallel bidding before implementation.
Colgan- grievance gets heard sometime in august. The colgan folks are doing the ALPA vote during the month of august, if they go ALPA that only helps both sides.
-900 flying- pay has not been agreed on, base not announced (it was alluded to that mgmt may not even know yet from DL). Arbitration for payrates was alluded to by mgmt.
Thats all that I took out of it as highlights, although all these items seem to already been known. The union guys did say every 25th will be a conference call (thats the plan at least).
Maybe someone else listened and can shed more light, or mention something I missed.

All three parties - pncl mgmt, 9e pilots, and the colgan group have made it clear that a merger is not wanted. It becomes too costly and a major pita for everyone involved. Alpa on property at colgan only gives protection to the 9e and colgan pilots.
