You guys haven't lived until you walk up the stairs to street level on the Grand stop. Releaving yourself on the sign is nothing. Try watching where you step, the needles might get you :)

I carry the Backpacker with me on most trips. I went with the acoustic model, and for the most part I like it. It is not going to be the best ax you play, but it beats having nothing. It has a funky sound, but that gives you some neat sound options. The low E tends to not carry as well, but it all adds to the uniqueness. A strap is a must, as the balance is awful, and with no real body you lose the ability to prop it well against your leg. It is very light, and comes with a gig bag that will keep it from getting real dinged up. It will lay flat in a CRJ and a Dash 8 overhead bin (just make sure no one lays their stuff on top of it!), and will fit under two seats side by side on a 170; if you are on an Airbus, it will fit along side your rollerboard if you put your rollerboard in the overhead longways. It is definitely great to have a guitar along to pass the time (especially with winter coming), and where the weather is nice, it is great to take down by the pool.

I have a big accoustic guitar with a shoulder strap case. When I flew the EMB the forward closet was great for stowing it. Now on the CRJ I haven't taken it nore will I. I don't there there is any room in the airplane. The overhead bins wont even accomidate it. It's a really awesome and soothing way to end or start a day though!! I would recommend it!
