For this reason alone, SKW keeps as many crews out of Cali as possible, and the ones that are based there are mostly in more conservative rural areas. They ought to fix that UAL contract language. Isn't the ball kind of in SkyWest's court anyway? It just seems odd to me that LAX is a big base for both Delta and United, and SkyWest does considerable business with both, and yet no LAX lines. I'm probably just bitter because I live nearby.

The UAX contract language prevents a DCI base in LAX, but it's the california labor laws that prevent a LAX pilot base to support the UAX flying.

And UAL is very much in the driver's seat on ANY UAX contract, lol. It's their way or the highway...
