They are unfortunately. My dad was a cop and trust me, it is darn near impossible to get stuff off of your driving record. I have a couple toll violations where my sunpass didn't work. I had no idea that this was happening or that it was on my record until I pulled my own record up. You can go to the DMV and have them pull up your entire driving history.

I also found out that when I switched insurance companies my previous insurance company reported me as having no insurance for two weeks. That is on my record too . I have tried to get it removed but it has been impossible so far.

Brilliant........ the internet has nothing to do with it. I was making an assesment predicated on his words. Whether it were written, in person, or on line, it would lead one to start forming an opinion. I was letting him know they way it was coming across.

But thank you for enlighten insight.

Thanks! So glad this didn't turn into one of THOSE posts.

Again, I am not a bad person, lol! ;)

Yes, that is why you are a pilot and not a Psychologist. This is quite evident from YOUR online posts. But who's judging who here....

I was just looking for advice not negative opinions, thanks :)

Thats what I didn't like about your response. You based your judgment solely on her words without asking for clarification. I'm not picking on you specifically. I've seen things like this several times on numerous boards over the years, I just happened to use your post to vent. My first thoughts after reading her post were that she was wanting to know every little bit of information she could get her hands on regarding their line of questioning so she didn't mess up the interview. I was the exact same way when I started interviewing, all the information and minuscule details in the world were never enough. Without seeing someones facial expressions or being able to listen to their voice when having a conversation can lead to a misunderstanding of the message they are trying to get across, including this one. Again, I'm not trying to be hostile toward you. I just think it was a little harsh to attack her character without giving a fellow pilot the benefit of the doubt.

Thank you. I know I am new here so I appreciate that.

I think that is what happened in my last interview with Republic. I just wasn't prepared for the line of questioning they gave me. I don't feel that I have anything to hide but since I am usually blunlty honest, I think that I may have answered these types of questions very badly in the interview. With an interview comming this Thursday, I was hoping to get some advice here so that I didn't mess things up again.

When they asked me if I had any accidents, incidents or violations on my record I never thought once about driving. I just assumed they meant aviation related so thats all the info I thought to give them. I didn't even realize they might have meant auto accidents until your post! Although I do seem to recall them asking if I had any speeding tickets when I attended an open house... If in doubt, ask them when they ask that question. I see no problem with that. Good luck.

If you don't mind me asking, who did you interview with and who did you get hired by?

If you want just PM me.

Thanks again...
