Colgan has been good to me, I find that most like it however some don't. Try for PVD it is a good base with some great people, however all the bases I have been at have been nothing short of great, all in their own ways.

I will try my best. Thats one main reason I chose Colgan because of PVD being my home town. I dont see why I wouldn't be able to get it soon with the movement taking place. Hopefully sooner than later.

Hey spooner, where are you based? How do you like it?

KiloAlpha 09-08-2007 06:51 PM

The best* colgan base is probably PQI. If I decided to stay at Colgan, I was headed north.

What was a typical day like at PQI as far as the type of route? To and from same 2 bases all day or a couple of different legs? Just curious? And thanks.

It used to be:

PQI-BOS
BOS-SYR
SYR-BOS
BOS-PQI

All relatively quick turns and about 7 hours flight time.

That sounds like a pretty good route to fly. I'll keep an eye on PQI. I have no idea what to expect out of training. I just hope I dont get screwed right away and end up in a base that I really dont care for.

My buddy said that no one has been awarded IAH from the last couple classes according to the list that he saw. So who knows...

You will fill out bid forms right out of training but it wont matter. You will be sent to HEF, PIT, or some other funky base...just how it is. Let them you know where you want and wait. PVD is great but senior so you will have to wait like the IAH guys do. I am in the northeast and it is boring (waiting for the weather to come.) Colgan has a great group of pilots and I have enjoyed my time here.
