That's worth another ham certificate baby!

Cheers to the "juicy" rumors! Before this spirals out of control ;), allow me to state some facts to the best of my knowledge....

1) Comair has not officially stopped furloughing--however, no additional furloughs have been announced...yet. My guess is this is a result of the pending "early out" programs that are currently still open. Look for some sort of announcement after this window closes (positive or negative).

2) Mesa is still flying for Delta. Mesa is under contract to fly for Delta until at least 2011. While that could change tomorrow, I don't see Mesa going anywhere, unless a BK filing is in their future (April maybe?).

3) Delta has informed Comair, per J.B., that they are reducing our overall flying by 1.5% in 2009. Remember this came after we were originally told that no flying would be reduced.

All this is subject to Delta changing their mind on things...which we all know never happens....

I heard something similiar, except that there is suppose to be a major annoucement come April by Mesa, there is suppose to be an increase in flying around that time thus the reason why both pilot and f/a furloughs have been halted ( I didn't know that) to see how this all plays out. I have no idea what this company is doing anymore, not that I did in the first place.

Well they posted COLAs for April....
Like ComairFO said, I think they are waiting for the Early Outs to be awarded. When I talked to someone at the GO they said if they don't get enough takers, it would probably be another 80 furloughs.

Congratulations and good luck! Who are you going to fly for?

Going to the ME. Don't want to say who or where on public board. PM for details.

Whoa.. Flyandive, haven't seen you on here in a while. Whats up?

BobSakamano 02-17-2009 01:12 PM

Delta changes their mind more than a normal person changes underwear. Hopefully, there will be some positive news soon, no more furloughs and maybe a recall or two.

Maybe New Guy Bendo The Fourth is outwardly negative to make things look better when there is some positive news.

Tonight on the last CVG YYZ flight. After all of the delays, it seems unreal. I'll keep you guys up to date when/if more seats open up.
