I am a furloughed pilot since November fifth. I now work part time at UPS for...8.50 an hour. The job isn’t so bad, I'm not complaining because I know it is hard to even have a job these days. however when I was unloading the UPS trucks the other morning, I noticed that 77 Comair Blvd received 8 brand new LCD TV’s...wait, I’m on furlough and they're buying new TVs? What are these TVs for or where are they going? I've heard rumors of the lounge in concourse A but not sure. I almost wrote them a little note telling them how angry I was to be the one unloading their TVs but I decided to save face and vent on here.

Don't worry, they wouldn't waste such great technology on crewmembers. They are probably all going in D.S.'s office.

I too have recently decided to leave Comair. It has really been a pleasure to fly with some of you and to have known others. My posts have from time to time been pessimistic and I am sorry if that has brought anyone down, but I truly do wish the best for you guys that are sticking it out.

Good luck and thanks for the fun times!

Well Comair finaly took its toll on me. I put in my 2 weeks today! I am looking forward to spending every night at home and working a normal job in which you get paid for every hour you work. No more commuting, crashpads, eating every meal out....I can't wait. For those of you who don't want to get furloughed or want to get called back, I hope my spot helps you.

Congrats, I've been gone since April 30th and haven't missed the job at all. Enjoy your time off. What are you plans? Turbodog, congratulations to you also!

I am going to try a new career field. I am thinking about going back to school to be a pharmicist. I have a job starting July 1 working as a pharmacy tech to learn the business. I can then decide if I want to go all the way or do something else in that field like sales, or insurance work. I figured in the next at lest 5 years here I will not be any more senior or upgrade so I might as well take those 5 years and get a new education and a new job.

Sounds like a great and solid plan. There is great demand for pharmacists everywhere. I know a CA at OH who just left to work as a pharmacist in Cincinnati, seems like it was a good switch for him. Best of luck to you guys.
