And if you weren't hired in the 80s you probably won't hold a line in CVG either.

Could you imagine a 19-year Skywest guy not having enough seniority to hold Salt Lake?

A 19-year ASA guy without enough seniority to hold Atlanta?

A 19-year Eagle guy without enough seniority to hold Chicago?

Since it happened to us, sure I can imagine it. Just give it a few years.

Honestly, the total pilot numbers are a lot better then what we'd been told to expect. Lots of guys will be able to look for a job while they have a job. Beats being a senior guy at ACA, Big Sky, Chicago Express, Freedumb, Lynx, Midway...

For what it's worth, my QOL has improved 100% since leaving that sh!t-hole known as Comair. To the pilots that are still there and on the chopping block, I wish you well and hope you find other flying gigs soon.

I also agree...The grass really is greener. Good Luck!

I will add my +1 to that also. Get out as soon as you can.

Really? It was September 2010 when everyone was told this would happen. Those still there have had 17 months to "look", yet they are still there. I'm not trying to seem like an a*# or anything, but many sat back and said "I'm gonna ride this 'till the wheels fall off." And now that they are falling off, they still have nowhere to go.

I said it back then...run, people, run! It ain't gonna last!

Sure, I'll hear now "I've been looking." and "I got no place else to go." Really? Look around, there are much better places to be, whether flying or not.
As a few have said, it's much better on the outside than it is there.
