PSA recruiting

A friend of mine in management says a couple of the regionals are a little frantic and may cancel the Vegas recruiting gig. I think he said PSA was one of 'em.

I just hope they dont back my class in June to August. This is my last week at my current job and I was expecting to go straight into ground on the 12th. But I do have to say it will be nice to have 3 weeks off to relax before going into it.

I would say it is very poor decision making to have this be your last week at work, and I would try to stay on until a few days before going to class. Leaving one job, and not knowing about another is a terrible practice, and you'll be flat broke.

Yea, They told me I can stay on if I want the only problem is my lease runs out with my apartment and Im graduating college and moving back to Dayton on the 10th. My job is in Kentucky so I may stay with another pilot and fly for an extra 2 weeks.

Yeah, you aren't in class yet, and it's no secret they don't plan on having another class until September, from what I heard, down the line. Whether or not they are still having your class, who knows. They will be interviewing again in June.

Yea I heard the same thing. In the e mail I got it looks like they are pushing everyone back one class date but who knows what is going to happen.

PSA may cease operating between now and then if LCC merges with another company, or liquidates due to the rising costs of fuel.

Do you really want to stop flying, and not be current when the worst happens? Seems to me you don't taking flying seriously enough, and it's still a game for you. I would keep working as long as possible.

That goes for everyone that's sitting in a hiring pool.

Dont take flying seriously enough? O...K... and you know this how, by talking to me a couple of times? On the internet nevertheless...I understand that you are an extreme enthusiast about our profession, which is great, but I do not think that it gives you the right to judge me. Especially when you do not know who I am or my life situation at the moment. In one week I may be without a home if I stay here, that is the real issue...but again you would NOT understand. So anyway; good luck with your career and happy flying!
