Well you got one right, not bad, it is flat. The rest i think you are mistaking for LA/ONT!! Last week i went into ONT and it might as well have been IMC on the approach through the smog layer.

That's no joke Super. A few weeks ago we were technically day VMC and the tower got ****ed at us because we wouldn't call the visual into LAX on a 5 mile final- ATIS said CLR & 10sm.

Yeah. I'm gonna have to go ahead and sorta... disagree with you.

Houston is flat, dirty, and smoggy, but very green.

As far as new hires, it's a toss up. Every class seems to be getting different bases. My class was told we'd all go to LAX. Over half of us are in flat, dirty, smoggy Houston. Nah, it's really not that bad, especially in the winter when the rest of the country is freezing.

It's not our fault. It's a coastal basin with nearly-constant onshore flow. Where do you expect all the moisture to go? But with all of our expensive gasoline formulations, I'd say the air has gotten better. There are still bad days, but did you see it 10-15 years ago, or more? That was bad.

I will give you that. Mild winters are a plus down there.

Summers however, nah, I will stay in in Seattle.
