I am only 300 numbers away from upgrade based on november of 2008. So yeah if the attrition remains at 20 per month 300 numbers divided by 20 to 30 per month equals about 12 months from now. So march of 2007 hire beeing eligible for upgrade at the end of 2008 isnt too bad! I really wish I would have went to comair!

I agree. I'm talking about someone hired today. There was a real dense period of hiring this year. Although, I hired in during July and am about 700 from junior captain. I agree its a good situation, but its not the magical quick upgrade that some people are trying to sell.

remember there are a lot between the most junior 170/145 award 08/05 and the 1 person who took the CRP. Just cause it went that junior for that 1 plane type and base doesn't mean that's the benchmark to look at. You need to look overall and see how many you are from the most junior 145/170. Since the CRJ is pretty much staffed and short-term, there won't be many more upgrades there unless they expand that platform. So how many are between you and August 05? If the answer is 300 or 700 or whatever, then your numbers are correct assuming the upgrades will come at the rate they are now. Unless they post more, they've announced everything from now until March.

A few guys in the 8/27 class are going to be RJ captains in ORD after 13 months. Big deal. Great lakes is six months.

I really hope that folks are prepared when their number comes up. Not just at RAH or SKY, but everywhere as this is an industry wide trend....look at CAL!

You don't make $50-$60k at great lakes that quickly. That is a big deal.
