Default PDT Flowthru

Anyone have any more info as to what went down at that meeting the other day? People are telling me that the flowthru went through...I don't want to get my hopes up, but is this true?

Conflicting reports on FI. Some say it is signed and a done deal, others say there is a meeting on 9/26 to iron out more details.

Default Flowthrough

This just came out from our MEC:

"A framework proposal was developed that will provide job opportunities for pilots at Piedmont and PSA to fly for US Airways mainline, as well as job opportunities for US Airways mainline pilots at Piedmont and PSA in the event of a furlough. Negotiating dates with management will be announced shortly.

Management expects to have exhausted the furlough list at some point in October and go into hiring mode around November 1, 2007. The MEC has heard estimates of hiring approximately 450 new-hire pilots by the end of 2008."

Sorry it's nothing concete or detailed, but at least it's a little extra info.

Sooooo....If you get hired at PDT, wait 6 years to upgrade 2 to get your 1000 pic. You MIGHT have the chance to work at USAir.

Now I remember why I left.

2 years to get 1000hrs?....and why would the upgrade be 6 yrs when there is a flowthru? i think it's safe to say that the upgrade will be greatly reduced by the flowthru. i don't know if it would be a good idea for people to be leaving pdt right now considering this thing went through

Yes, once one can upgrade they will be on reserve for a while, and hours don't come that fast on reserve.

Especially when you're flying right seat half of the time. (I kid...Sort of.)
