Aalborg? You mean Ålborg, Denmark? Sorry, I speak foreign lol

Yeah I saw it and read about it - only a few minor injuries. The article (in Swedish so I won't post it here) mentions some other issues this aircraft has had, landing gear (this would be a good example ) and some prop sync issues...Don't know much about Q400 but always heard good things about it from pilots who flew it (Horizon)

Sorry, I don't know how to make my computer make that fancy A-looking thing.
I can do this, though:

Yeah! I've mostly heard positive things about it as well. But I believe that I remember some problems they had at Austrian Arrows when the Q400 was delivered. But I think they are flying 10 or more by now so the problems must have been solved. Can anyone confirm or correct what I said? Again, I'm not sure and this is only from my memory...

Wouldn't you think that if you knew you had a gear problem you would try and land a little softer than that, every other video I have seen of "landing gear issues" the landings are "the softest" the pilot has ever had...ie jet blue and others. This one seems to be pretty solid and it even looked like it was in a bit of a crab on touch down....

just a thought

pretty awesome everyone got off the plane safely but man would that be scary

It looked like a normal touchdown to me; especially if you have a full boat, in a turbo-prop (all that movement when you go to idle), in gusty conditions with a possible gear problem.

I've never flown the -8; however, back in the day, I flew some stiff-legged turbo-props and it's tough to get one of those greasers that we see out of a trailing link gear.

It looks like a normal landing for a straight gear. Props to the crew for getting #1 secured, in a timely manner and getting everyone off safely; that's about all we're paid for.

Side-note to this; I can't tell if it's just the angle the video was taken from, but initially, from the video, the gear looks like it might be out of proper position.
