Default And Now in the Post 9/11 World

...Time for a reality check..

...30 minute drive to airport(includes finding parking)
...Must be at Airport 90 minutes before departure..(to allow TSA to do a frisk job)
....45 minutes gate to gate.
....30 minutes for baggage claim and to exit airport.
.....20 minutes to rent a car.....

Total time.....3.5 hours each way and $200.00 buckaroos plus you'll need a car.

Total time to drive.....2.5 hours each way and $60.00 for gas RT with an average fuel efficient car.

It seems Horizon marketing has done a good job with humor and fluff. I can buy a lot of beer and wine for the difference and a nice dinner.

Don't forget the canceled Q400 flight that causes you to miss the next 3 flights.

Ive made that drive many times and flew it twice. Before 9.11 flying was worth it, but now i wont fly anywhere i can drive in about 10 hrs.
