ASA Training Questions

I interviewed on October 11 and the 12 still waiting a class date. I've too heard around Jan or Feb.

I interviewed on the 24th of Oct. I cant PM either cause of the new rule on here. Gator were you from TSA?

Gator81 12-13-2005 08:52 AM

Yeah man thats me...did you hear about any of the other guys we interviewed with? Did they get hired? So you decided to take the job with ASA over TSA huh? Good decision!!!

Let me know if you hear anything. This not being able to PM sucks.

See ya

First Quarter 2006 aircraft deliveries were changed to zero deliveries...that's why hiring stopped.

Gator81 12-13-2005 09:48 AM

af1sig...just curious, what's your source? I can't find anything on A/C deliveries. Thanks.

Does anyone know if there are any plans to expand the fleet further, eventually? Also, has anyone seen if skywest has has hinted at any meaningful expansion of the ASA route structure?

Gator....yea one other guy got the job as well. Dunno about the guy that did the CAPT program. That sucks if they have 0 deliveries hopefully doesnt push us back past Feb. The route structure is going to be left alone for now...maybe next year it might change....this was just something i heard from one person so I dont know how accurate it is. My name on here at y a hoo is my email. That way i can send you the link to the other forum with more ASA guys.

You guys who have interviewed with ASA, I was just wondering how long you had to wait between sending in the application packet and getting the phone call for an interview. Sucks about the deliveries. I talked to a guy from pilot recruiting and he said they were waiting on a fleet plan from Skywest who was waiting on a fleet plan from Delta. Is this the result of that fleet plan (0 deliveries and a stop to the hiring)?

Does anyone know if there were any significant number of furloughed guys that jumped down to ASA post 9/11, and if so, does the slowly improving economy provide hope that maybe 1st & 2nd Quarter hiring may resume if those guys start going back to the majors. Any thoughts?

freezingflyboy,

It took me a couple of days after I sent in my packet to get called for an interview. That was back when they were planning on hiring a decent amount per month. Maybe they haven't called you because they don't know how much they're going to hire, therefore how many to interview. Just keep hanging in there. Also, it probably has a lot to do with the holidays.
