First Officer Flood - you are testament to the fortitude and character that is so terribly lacking in this industry. Your commitment to overcome obstacles, set and achieve goals, and accept the shortcomings of our society is a tribute to what America used to stand for.

Unfortunately, our society has deteriorated in many cases to nameless keyboard commandos contributing to an ever-increasing degradation of our society through social media. You stand tall among those in our industry who truly want to make things better for themselves and pilots as a whole.

All of us will make mistakes, have issues out of our control, and have blessings come to us in abundance. Your ability to take responsibility for the first and make the most of the other two is what sets you apart.

I pray your personal life will continue to allow you to pursue your dreams and that God will continue to provide you the perseverance to look past and forgive those who wish to somehow think those in the spot light should be perfect.
