There is a controlled down in IAH that used to call Colgan.. Cold One :)

RAH is hiring with 800/100 now. I know of at least one guy in a 170 class with 600 total. I think he was a flight academy type. I also know one dude who got hired for CHQ with 400ish and a few month old CFI ticket. I can't believe that Mesa is going to stay in business for much longer if we can't find pilots either.

Let me say this first and foremost: what I am about to tell is purely hearsay.
The rumor is that US Airways is displeased in the way that Republic is handling it's Express operation, and there is talk that they will strip Republic of some of it's routes and give it to PSA. I heard this same thing from two seperate Captains, but I do not know how credible the information is. My point of all this is that you should really research Republic before deciding your future. |

I've been flying professionally for 6 years. Not as long as some, but enough to hear my share of rumors. I have heard hundreds of rumors that "XXX is getting dropped!!!". Jesus, mabye atleast 50 of those were about Mesa. Well they're still here. It all ebbs and flows, and the truth of it all is that no line pilot has a damn clue what is really going on behind closed doors. I'm based in PHL, and have not heard that we are screwing up more than anyone else. The WHOLE USAir operation is jacked up all the way from the A-330's to the Dash 8's. I honestly think our crews (as well as all Express crews) do a hell of a job with the hell that we are handed in places like PHL, DCA, CLT and LGA. Example...Fueler in PHL can't get a fuel door lock closed. Decides to beat it with a flashlight and leave it. Fuel needs to be added, next fueler can't open fuel door. We take a delay while MX attends to it. Who gets charged the delay? Mabye the convicted felon that fueled us? Nope....Republic did, for MX. What IS happening is that due to the J4J recall and it's disasterous effect on our already low staffing, we will most likely park airplanes over the holidays. That was in a recent SEC filing. I would imagine that slack might be picked up, mabye by PSA. (Aulthough they will have the J4J recall problem as well) |
Does anyone know if they will trade multi time for total time? I have about 1100 total but only 30 multi with an MEI. Would I even have a shot if someone walked it in?
