The nice things about scott cases is that they USED to wear really well, and look better with age. The dark brown would wear through and it would look classy.
But now they use a lighter type of leather painted black, like the one I got a couple of months ago, and the way it's wearing, it just looks like its rotting instead of showing that deep brown hue. Looks like blue cheese on the edges. Kind of looking ugly! I care much more about the durability and I hope this new leather they are using lasts as long as the previous type. Must have gotten a new supplier or something. So put a little black shoe polish on a cloth and rub it in.... Problem solved I have had my Scott leather case 6 years and still fine. It pays for itself over time. If you want to look like a tool with a Office Depot case held together with duct tape after 6 months be my guest. Ballistic nylon is basically usless too. |

Scott leather. Don't fool around with anything else. The Scott may well last you the rest of your career.
If he ever ends up on an EMB it will knock the feet off the Scott's bag just like they do to everybody elses.... if your going to spend the money on a good bag, you get the Coyoteworks bag. Lifetime Warranty, the leather is through dyed, not just on the outside, it has steel plates on the bottom and is guaranteed against ramp rash, and even the EMB's can't knock the lug bolt feet off the things... great bag... even when/if you go to Mr.Boeing.... the bag won't fail you. Just walk through a crew room and see how many bags still have their feet on them... |
Anyone have thoughts on the rounded top versus the flat top style?
