Is a commute to ATL for ASA from MCO realistic?

Seems like there are quite a number of flights going that direction - or are all the airtran flights filled with their own people?

No, they are just trying to be fair to FO's who have been sitting on reserve for a few years and not flying more than 500-600 a year.

Ah, ok that makes sense

This kind of stuff makes me want to work there even more!

I agree, if a company doesn't lower hiring standards even though they really need pilots is a good sign about a company. One thing I am quickly realizing is that you want low reserve times as well. I really do not mind about the upgrade time sooo much, to me I want to be able to take time to learn everything I need to before shouldering the captain responsibility.

Mregan thanks alot for the comments. I am confident about the tech part of the interview, but the sim part is where I think Ill hurt a little. I just dont have any glass cockpit experience and the full motion sim (although cool and exciting that I get to be able to do a sim ride in) is kind of intimidating right now(never been in a motion sim before). Any suggestions (besides aviationinterviews.com) to prep for it?

Microsoft flight sim X has a CRJ 700. I prepared a little with that, I think it helps.

I would not expect that kind of treatment from a group of "pilots" on the professional level.

I hear you. I liked the way that SKW did it. It was a little more random by doing it with the last 4 of the social number. I think out of "our" class there was no more than 10 with over a 1000 hours.

I have heard that people complain about the seniority by age, and the company (not sure which) had to change it because it is technically age discrimination. I heard this from somebody who heard it from somebody who heard it...... I'm sure there is little, if any truth to it since it seems to be the standard
