Check the breaks? Crew breaks? You guys can check your schedules from Acars? That's awesome. That'd be great for reserves.

I think he meant "brakes" as in tripping the ACARS to get on the clock early. Since the ACARS usually goes off brake release you can close the door and "check the brakes" to get an out time and start to payroll clock.

On our "in range" report it tells you what gate you're going to, what gate and what time the next flight for each crew member is, how long the sit for each crew member is and where the airplane is going next.

Ahhhh. Funny how a little grammar changes the equation.

Must be nice having ACARS. Our 900s have ACARS and a printer. Except they also have collared circuit breakers. And they don't have a ground infastructure to support it. <sigh> oh well.

I heard that the 170 drivers can use their ACARS to put their bids in and order Papa John's for delivery at the gate.

On the in-range report into the overnight I usually put a free text message for them to call the hotel van. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I guess it would work ordering pizza too

Or you can do the "time warp". Great for creating 30/7 conflicts...

Naw, the 170 drivers don't have to do anything - the plane knows exactly what each crewmember wants on their pies, and promptly orders the pizza automatically when descending through 18K feet...
