The phone rang at like 3:30 yesterday afternoon with her telling me that I dont need to get the 25 hours because the mins were dropped to 6 and 1.

You don't balme him? I think balm is spelt without an "e".
330TT: Sounds like he uses that balm to rub one out while wearing his RAA or AllATP uniform. Good thing he turned it down, I would pity the poor CA's who would have to fly with him. AE has alot of high time drivers who your friend could learn from.

Blame, I didn't check my spelling......whatever..... he's with another airline which I think is better for his particular situation. He's a great pilot, I'd rather fly with him that any other 600TT CFI in a Cessna. 60 hrs of CRJ FTD in a very intense program is worth much more for me that a couple of hundred hours in a cessna flying around an airport. But anyways, I respect any path you or anybody here decided to take to get to the airlines. The CFI way is a great one but not for everybody, and If you, me or anybody else took it, doesn't mean is the best or the only one. So please be more open minded, if not, then don't say anything, you will look smarter :D

Maybe this is a way of getting those Senior Captains to leave, by putting low timers in the right seat?????? That is what my "crystal ball" is telling me!!!!! This will help reduce the upgrade time.......stress out the sr cpt with low timers so they quit or loose their medical.............lol...............

What are the details of the "pick your own base" program. It seemed a little to-good-to-be-true when it was announced.

DFW, ORD, LAX, BOS, LGA, SJU, MIA - Choose which one you want to be based at. It's that simple.

Are there so many guys going to each one that there are no staffing issues?

tjunior 10-10-2007 09:50 PM

XSive what does your driving record consist of that they would not hire you the first time? If you don't mind please.
