An Entertaining Read - SkyWest Loses...

Sheesh, all this political mudslinging. ALPA and SKYW management are sure throwing alot of mud at each other right now. I guess it's pretty typical of any type of election, all this would be happening between two presedential candidates fighting for election, except now it's between ALPA and SKYW management. My head is spinning with all these anti-union letters from management and propaganda from ALPA. The real truth, I'm sure, probably lies somewhere in the middle of the extremes both sides are throwing around right now......

Ok I found it. http://crewroom.alpa.org/asa/Desktop...cumentID=38569
I find the ethics skyw displayed disgraceful asking members of sapa to lie in court. Also trying to pull one over on the judge, leading him to belive jb or whoever was the president of sapa, and not notifying mn of the court procedings.

Mark did bring out some very interesting issues during his short term at SAPA. I have to question his true intentions though. For someone to come in as president, stir up as much poop as he did, and then immediately step down leads me to believe he was only there to help ALPA's cause. And I don't buy the excuse that "it was now too uncomfortable for me to continue" from him. Surely he knew what kind of flak would probably be received for bringing the issues out in the open that he did. However, it was important info, and I do think we are much better informed because of it.

I don’t think Mark went in looking for a fight; his intention was to be honest and work for us pilots. All he did was not agree to sign a confidentiality agreement with skyw. And when he found out about a court proceeding going with the organization he was a president of he thought it prudent to attend. How did he stir up so much crap?

Fair enough. As mentioned before, he has already been fired once but got his job back. I actually have nothing against the guy. We share different views but have spoken respectfully regarding the drive amongst other things.

The exposure of SAPA as a fraudulent organization (for lack of a better term) is the best thing to happen to skw this year. Even after the whole union vote fails, the hard work of several individuals at skywest (and some alpa lawyers) advanced your pilot group a lot more than you think. now you are armed with good information, its up to you to be a strong pilot group.
