as for jumpseating on expressjet and being weight restricted you were most likely trying to jumpseat on one or two of our er's. Its a version of the 145 that isnt very friendly to high weights. When continental gave up those 69 airplanes it consisted almost entirely of XR's and LR's or the better airplanes went to the west coast. Even with our weight program we have to weight restrict sometimes. We do it less often then CHQ but with ER's, potentially bad weather in houston, and the fact that we sometimes tanker fuel... it happens. sorry if it inconvenienced you but we don't like it either.
I disagree with taking something that important out of the crews hand. We do our own where I work. We can do some things to get a jumpseater on. We will do what it takes to make sure they get a ride. We can do that because we do out own calculations. Out of the crews hand at Eagle though. |

Let 'em dog us. While they drop to their knees for every major airline out there, taking whatever they can get, paying their pilots peanuts we can fly airplanes with OUR name on the side of em. The only airplanes CHQ has with their name on it are those uglyass white tails they have floating around. That must be why they hate us so much:D

We don't hate you at all. Why would we? As far as working for peanuts? I guess I just don't get it...

They're still higher than ASA's CA rates in their new TA. And ours were set 5 years ago. This is where you say "Well, I was talking about your FO rates." Everyone's FO rates need to come up...not just ours.

Would I like to see my FO's make a few more bucks??? Sure, but unfortnately there is very little I can do to control that.
Could you have voted in a union to establish at least average pay rates? Yes. What do you have now? The Colgan family which establishes your pay rates. Thanks for settling with that. The rest of us appreciate it a lot. |
