Payscale question

you are a, lets say, five year FO for AA on a 757 making $100+/hour. you then get hired as a CA on the 757. do you go back down to $35/hour for your first year??? if thats the case, then that would kind of stink.....

nope- seniority within a company stays during upgrades and transitions.

are you saying you never go back to first year CA pay?

Ottopilot 10-23-2007 11:15 AM

If you had been with the company for 5 years as an FO and move to CA, then you will get 5 year CA pay. The years are "the years with the company".

Essentially never in the United States. At non-US airlines it is common to start over at year one.

well that should be pretty obvious. separate companies separate payscales.

thats a possible sick nasty paycut you would take if you wanted to fly the big boys. would have be pretty good at budgeting your money if you made that decision, i would assume.....
