Default RAH to have a very large upgrade

The latest memo came out today. 196 upgrades on this one. That is right, one hundred and ninety six. I think that upgrade time will drop to 1 year and a few months. We will find out when it closes.

WOW this is more than I expected and I was a little aggressive with my thinking. G-Dog any word on if it's a big J4J exodus? They also just made CMH a RW base. I guess more delta flying with them over here?

They weren't very clear on that in the memo. It said, "Many of these positions are in anticipation of J4J..." but who knows what they meant by that.

have about 80 some j4j leaving, so 80 spots are probably for that. another 10 planes for united 170, so about 50 spots for that. add a few backfills and some more spots for growth in DEN and USAir. Will be interesting to see how junior it goes....effective date of May 1, so I'd guess it'd stay right at about 2 years. Most junior 145 captain currently is aug 05. Most junior 170 captain in training is aug 05. That would make the upgrade drop from about 2yr3-4 months to 2 years.

must have missed that one...sorry about that....i just saw the one guy in crp. Quite a gap though from him and the next junior 145 guy. I'm seeing a lot of 08/2005 and then those two in 02/06. Rough math is 80ish people from 8/05 to 2/06 that haven't upgraded, plus all the FO's senior to them who haven't upgraded yet. Still don't think it'll go as junior as everyone thinks.

It's already as junior as we were thinking. Right at sub two years.

I think there are many senior 170 FO's who bypassed with the hopes of a large bid like this one. I would have to agree that it probably will not go as junior as some think.
There are 60 or so 145 slots on this bid alone. I would expect to see that number grow with the backfill that will go along with it.
Also keep in mind that this has an effective date of sometime in May.
So someone that is junior may get awarded a slot but not go to class till March or April.
