American Eagle Gouge
I have an interview coming up with AE and don't have much of a clue of what to expect. Haven't really seen anything in the forums recently on gogue or expectations. Would like to know what the SIM is like and any questions they might ask besides the TMATT kinda questions. Thanks in Advance

the interview is the same as whats on www.aviationinterviews.com. the sim is simple as long as you can follow a flight director and tell a non flying pilot what to do. they walk you through the sim in the briefing. know basic ifr stuff and how to read jepps and have a good attitude and you will do good.
oh yea...make sure you paperwork is correct and you have all required documents and copies with you. in my interview group 2 people were kicked out for not having the paperwork correct.
good luck

Sim's in one of their ERJ or F100 sims, if I recall correctly, with a written, technical interview, and HR interview. Pretty straight forward. I'd go to www.airlineinterviews.com for a decent gouge, and of course, spend a lot of time studying the IFR oral exam guide and ATP Gleim. If you do those, you'll be pretty much prepared for any interview out there too, which is a nice plus. For the sim, I don't really know what to tell you for preparation, except maybe get FS2004 or FSX and fly around on something with a glass cockpit, to try and familiarize yourself with the flow if you aren't already familiar. You can try and see if you can find something free (or at reasonable cost) that either simulates an FMS or is a guide to using a generic FMS.
Just a couple thoughts though. Keep in mind though, they want you to pass, because like everybody else, they're hurting for pilots. They're not going to throw you anything unreasonable. A friend of mine at Purdue said that they came to a class to do a presentation and one of the Captains who does technical interviews said what he'll do is just take the last leg he flew and go through it step by step with the interviewee. You're not going to get anything unreasonable or unpractical, whether that be regs, weather, Jepps, signage, or whatever.

No more written any more. Also, I beleive the SIM is the Fokker 100. As far as I heard the sim ride profile consists of pretty basic stuff. (2 ILS one with FD, turns and enter a hold.) I heard these things at an american eagle career fair for them. They offered me an interview on the spot, but I was not expecting it and postponed till later. Seems like a great company, and they are looking to fill ORD erj slots.

I had delta and Con and one night added AE to see what would happen and the next morning I had an interview request from them. Thanks for the info, didn't know about the airlineinterviews site.

Sooo...you're applying to Delta, CAL and Eagle? Seems like an odd assortment of choices...
