ALPA backlash... Fedex to blacklist SkyWest pilots?
Ok, admittedly third / fourth / fiftieth hand info, but apparently some Fedex pilot who is on the hiring committee / board / whatever, has determined (and actually had the balls to tell one of us) that he was going to pull any SkyWest pilot's application to Fedex, since we didn't vote in ALPA.
When questioned how he could do this, when it should be management's right to hire / fire, he claimed that at Fedex, the pilots also have a say.
Doesn't it seem that more of those guys are jumpseating on us, than we are on them? And frankly, just that whole crappy attitude is so not surprising.
Some childish stuff, if you ask me.

That would be really crappy of them to do that. It seems far fetched, but if they actually do what you heard, then I guess what goes around, come around. Don't let them on your jumpseats.

If there is any truth in that...well I am sad for the entire Industry.
Here we are now, trying to force our beliefs down the throats of others...then reverting to spiteful acts when it becomes apparent ::gasp:: not everybody thinks the same way.

Like I said before, Experimental, unions are like the mob and use gustapo tactics to push their agenda.

I've been told you always have a pilot who helps decide if you should be hired or not. At SKW they were and at RAH there was.

In the same vein, pilots on another forum are already talking about denying Skywest jumpseat requests on account of not voting in ALPA.
It's unfortunate this issue is dividing pilots to such an extent.
