I don't mean this to be as offensive as it's going to sound, but is that the one that resulted in the loss of the United flying, or is that a later one?

Later one, and no offence taken, we just price ouselves to the level of service we offer. Out of all the airways express parenters we are consistently ranked amongst the top in most areas. I'm not trying to put anyone down, but just trying to state the facts. We are still one of the highest, if not the highest 50 seat paying company. That's on our old contract, we'll never see the old pay scales, but there will be something happening at the company soon enough.

I have an honest question for you AWAC, Horizon, and XJT guys? The friends I have at 2 of these 3 places have all told me they feel that the good contracts they have are less to the credit of ALPA and more to the credit of the good relationship their pilot groups have with mngmt. Any truth to this?

You know, I was going to suggest something to that effect. I mean, management never really has to give out anything they don't want to, right? If a union asks for too much, there's not really any way of forcing a management group to give in, is there? Wasn't that basically why the ASA negotiations dragged for five years or whatever?

Contracts aren't negotiated by unions though.
