Default Republic Question

So if you get hired by Republic do they put you where they need you as far as Chautauqua, Republic, or Shuttle America? Can you request which one you want? If you get hired on one of the certificates is it possible to bid for a different one, for example, move from Chautauqua to Republic? How long does it take to bid the base you want?

When you get hired you are hired into a specific certificate. You can request in the interview a specific certificate but make sure you have a legitimate reason (i.e. you live in a Republic base and would like to continue living there). However, there is no guarantee you'll get that certificate. If they call you for something you don't want, you can always pass that up although that may cost you several class dates...if they even call you back.

As far as inter-certificate movement, whatever cert. you get hired on you will spend the entire time as an FO. After that, you can upgrade into any certificate (a RP FO can become a CHQ CA). You can only move if it's an upgrade from your current position.

P.S. - Just searching "Republic" and reading the threads will also answer this question.

OK, I've been contemplating for months now as to whether or not I should schedule an RAH interview. I swear Kim has called me every week for the last 2 months. I've been ferrying planes to Europe, and have gotten used to the good money. Now I think the business is going down the toilet from bad management, and I should take the interview.
Can someone give me a realistic $$ amount of your paycheck for the first year? I apologize if it's rude to ask. I want to make sure it's worth my time, given I live in the CMH area and have the opportunity to live at home.
Thanks everyone!

Funny, I can't get Kim to email or call me with a confirmation on my class date.

the first of the month check is around 600 and some change depending on your taxes. the second check of the month is about a gazillion dollars, because here at RAH BB loves us all like children of his own and loves to share the wealth!

Now if that was true, my decision would be a no-brainer and everyone would work for RAH!!!

as a new hire here at S5, my paychecks are about $700 for the small check, (the one that covers half my guarantee) and anywhere from $1000 - 2200 for the big check (the other half of guarantee, anything over the guarantee, and all the per diem i made the previous month)

my numbers are a bit higher that average, as i don't take any of the health insurance from Republic.
