Schedule
I was just wondering what most people's schedule's look like. Is it mostly a 4 on 3 off kind of thing or do a lot of people have shorter trips? What would be considered a "good" schedule for a regional pilot?
|
A "good" schedule is entirely dependent on if you live in domicile or commute to work. If you commute you want 4 day trips that start late on Day 1 and finish early on Day 4, while if you live in domicile you may want high credit 3 day trips that start early and finish late or 1/2 day back-to-back trips or CDOs for time at home.
Then again, some that commute bid CDOs because each sequence itself is VERY commutable. |

My pay is only 70hrs but I don't care at this point, I cant time out anyway and I am going to take some time off and get ready to mentally prepare myself for being the new EWR F/O Rep, thanks for the guys/gals that voted for me by the way;) :) I have 20 days off, but in reality its becuase we are very fat on F/O's, I am going to enjoy it while it lasts, plus I live in base so when I am on my 6th day off I will be bored out of my mind so Ill pick something up |

You, an MEC member?!??! Woah. Seriously though, thanks for stepping up and volunteering your time and congrats for the victory. Serving on two ALPA committees has taken up quite a bit of my time but the progress and improvement that has happened while serving MY pilots has been very satisfying. |

4 on 2 off all month with 12 days off. Pretty crappy line but in the second bid period I've been eligible for I have a line as does nearly everybody that was in my class. A crappy line is better than sitting reserve in my opinion.
