I thought Eagle was hurting bad for pilots. If that is so, why is reserve so long there?

Were hurting for pilots where I work, so reserve is only about 2 months, and guys on reserve are flying up to 80 hours a month. I never flew less than 50 hours a month on reserve. You would think if Eagle needed pilots they would have less people on reserve or fly their reserves more.

High FO attrition and not enough pilots through the front door= NO MOVEMENT

Yeah I was starting to think about that. Less than 200 hired from 2000-2006 yet they hired 700-800 FO's last year. One would think that the newest Captain should have been an '06 hire if they were loosing Captains. This must be FO's leaving for other Majors that hire high hour FO's.

However it's not too bad if you got in early during the hiring of 2007. However those FO's won't be leaving anytime soon, so they will have good FO schedule's but later hires of 2007 will be stuck with a terrible schedule until the captains leave or 5 years later when these FO's get sick of it and leave themselves.

Any information on how long reserve is for MIA? Also, is the flying mostly overnights or out-and-backs.

Thanks in advance.

Actually, its like Mesa in some respects. The new FOs are leaving for other airlines with movement. All of the movement at Eagle appears to be in the junior FO ranks.
