How do you know if you can commute out of a certain airport?
Say for example you wanted to commute from Charleston to Charlotte. How do you know if it's an easy commute or not? I've learned from reading on here that anywhere in Florida is near impossible. So i guess that's not gonna happen. But what about Charleston? It seems like a cool city.
Is there a website that shows the avg pax loads or do you just have to ask other pilots that commute out of there?
And what other factors do you think about when choosing a city to commute out of?

If you are going to be a commuter invest in the OAG. http://www.oag.com/oag/website/com/en/Home/
They used to have a great pocket guide. Now it looks like they have a kinds of electronic subscription services as well as the pocket guide. Anyway, commuting is much easier with accurate thorough flight info. Check um out.

I have a good friend who does that commute. It's a short flight, one leg commute with plenty of flights. That's about as easy as commuting gets. Most days there are early flights and late flights which are good for commuters and plenty in between. If you want to know if a city pair is an "easy" commute (keeping in mind that commuting is never easy, only varying degrees of ****ty), then you want to see how many flights there are, is it hub to hub for anybody (that's always bad), and does your own airline fly the route (jumpseat priority). Also, you want to keep it to one leg if possible.

The worst commute I've ever heard of was a guy I met in Norway. He flew helo's to the oil rigs. Two pilots and 19 passengers all dressed up in international orange survival suits. Anyway, his schedule was 2 weeks on 2 weeks off and he commuted from Los Angeles to Oslo. Brutal. He made over 6 figures though. (in 1996)

But yeah i saw that from CHS to CLT it's only an hour flight or worst case scenario it's a 3hr drive. So i wasn't thinking it'd be too bad. But i have no idea.
