Attrition at your company?

Attrition at your company?
Here at AWAC we have had quite a few resignations in November and in December it looks to be similar. Lots of movement. Of course, some of that 'movement' is new-hire 'resignations', which the company also counts.
But we had about 18-20 captains resign in November.
Seems like lots of them are getting jobs at legacy carriers like Delta, NWA and United and other large/major carriers like AirTran and Spirit and we have a bunch in the pool at SWA.
How's things at your company? Are the floodgates really opening? Sure seems like it, with the majors now seeing hiring for the foreseeable future.
Interesting times indeed. And not bad for those of us climbing the seniority list!

Yup, they're opening here - but the trench is 3,000+ pilots deep, we're all chained to the bottom, and AMR has it's hand on the valve!

Things have slowed down over the holidays but since I was hired, almost 2 years ago, I've moved up an average of 17.2 slots per month. Add an FO here and there and we probably lose about 18-20 a month.

At AE we have been avg 50 pilots per month leaving the company, split about even FOs and CAs. October we lost 57 pilots, and I anticipate we will lose even more per month in the future due to the recent sale announcement.

Two days ago I applied for a loan and was denied, apparently my bank doesn't think I can afford a $450M+ loan on an FO's salary! LOL!

XJT is around 30 a month give or take. Sound like a lot? With over 3,000 pilots on the roster, it is not enough! It's a great company. Yes, that is one of it's downfalls. Too many poeple want to stay , which slows movement.
