Just out of pure curiosity, how much time do the high time new hires have?

for the benefit of your family and the families of your passengers and the industry, why don't you hold on trying to get a jet job before you gain some experience. It will serve you better in the long run, become a cfi and instruct for a while before you go for the airlines. In my opinion it is dangerous and irresponsible to make your self available to these dump regionals (mesa, pinnacle, etc.) that will hire you with a commercial multi license. I try to avoid jumpseating on the these because I don't feel confident in the ability up front. RAH will not hire you with 250 hours, forget about it. Who cares about multi, all you need is a hundred. Get some commmand experience. If you were wondering I got on at RAH with 2000TT and 700MEL.

I second that statement. And plus to the OP, do you really think you're ready for a jet job with minimal hours?

Do you think I would apply if I personally didn't think I was ready? This is my last post ref I see this topic going into flame as usual, over the argument over low timers.....there is enough of that debate on this forum under other posts to fill up several GigaBytes of hard drive space.....

have fun at mesa, try not to hurt anybody or ruin your career. Low timers have low experience and paying passengers and the families of those passengers deserve better. So does the industry. I feel very sorry for the captains that you fly with. At 250 hours you are not ready to fly a jet full of people, shoot you can't even get insured to fly a cessna 310 by yourself with that kind of time. Good luck.

Anything different if you already have your SIC in the airplane?
You'll be on reserve with RAH longer than you probably will be at TSA. Sit tight, you'll only be there a couple months.

So, is 1400/100 competitive? I was hoping to get up to 125, but running low on $$$.
