I applied online pasted my resume and did the Questionaire. Does anyone know how long I can expect to wait for a call? Also, what are the Junior bases and how long on reserve.

it depends on how much we are hiring currently. it should only be 2-4 weeks before you get a call to interview. we have sent some of our instructors back to the line to get rid of the backlog of pilots waiting for ioe, to hopefully turn a profit this quarter or next, and because we have a sufficient # of fo's currently. Right around now is when they were projected to start up hiring again. it is looking like the junior bases will be houston, lax. Newark, Cleveland are turning into the two top senior spots. Its a crapshoot and whats junior/senior now wont be then. You can almost guarantee Cleveland and Newark will be senior with the displacement of the flying going to houston and cleveland. Out of training you might even get your pick of spots... who knows. reserve has been anywhere from 1 month - 6 months depending on what you want to bid(ie if you really want weekends off stay reserve for awhile and get it). results may vary. good luck. try our own pilot forums for more info

I had 2000hrs when I applied in February. I've still never heard from them. Even had someone walk in the resume. I've been told if you update it you go back to the bottom. Flying over 100hrs a month i was always updating. Now I work at RAH /Chautauqua. Fate wanted me here I guess and I think it turned out to be a better deal for me.

I applied in Feb. I don't know what was going on or who was reviewing the applications, but they messed up. I reapplied under a different e-mail and was invited for an interview a week later. You must have applied when I did Toilet Duck.

I applied last February, too, with about 2000 hours, including several hundred TPIC. After applying again, they finally dragged me in there in May to talk to me for about 15 minutes, tell me no, and send me home. Awesome.

Wow, did you bomb the interview, or what?

Apparently they thought so. Oh well. Their loss.

Might be the best thing for you in the long run. Who knows?

same story here. applied last march. RAH called me a few hours after I applied and offered an interview. I applied at express same time and didn't get the call for two months. day before I went to chq class. told them I had already accepted another position. 2000 TT 700 Multi, four year degree from big 12 university (non aviation) and 22 yrs old. don't know what their deal was but I have a TX base at chq so it worked out better in the long run.

Maybe they just want marginally qualified people so that their pilots feel completely beholden to the company. I've heard that rumor before.
