Cool

yeah thats not bad at all...pretty weird saying that as a former californian used to warm weather that apparently a ridiculous 700,000 dollars affords you (along with that modest 1800 sq ft 3 bedroom house of course).
I wish all the regionals were based out there, so maybe they'd pay more.

Its funny but Ill be kinda competing with the wages of my high-school-educated, bus-driving mother (as wonderful as she is) for almost the entirety of my career...
Its actually rather striking seeing the similarities between a large bus company and an airline, one big difference being that instructors are at the top of the ladder and paid the most, not the bottom.

But what is flying a super speeding aluminum tube really anyway?
They don't call it AirBUS for no reason

anybody have the good word on crashpad info for MSP (other than the web sites)? Personal recommendations seem to always work better .

Are they hiring seperately for the 200 and the 900 or do you fly both?

Is there a reason for that?

Same type actually, but you have to go through differences training. XJ for whatever reason wants to keep the fleets separate. (My guess is cost. )

Its because we have to have three seperate levels of pilots. We have Saab drivers which are obviously clueless and have no business being in an aircraft, plus props are fo boats right? Then we have the jet pilots which will fly the -200, they are obviously gifted but not quite ready just yet to take the step to the next level, Very few SF340 have ever reached this level. Finally we have the SUPERIOR jet pilots who will be granted the -900, which is merely just a training ground to be become "god's gift to aviation" where they lovingly adore Jerry and are on a first name basis with him, and fly under the callsign "Skywest"

For you guys on the CRJ: If you end up going to Montreal for simulator training, PM me before you go. I just got back from spending almost a month at Bombardier up there training on the 900 and could share some valuable tips on the area, if you're interested.
